Look Inside The Museum of Broadway!

Several years ago I had an idea. A brilliant idea, I might add.

A museum all about Broadway!

Why didn’t this already exist? How was this NOT a thing?

I was so passionate about this idea that I bought a book about how to start a museum and pitched the idea to a Broadway producer.

That’s when I found out that it was already in the works.

For one second I was bummed that someone “took” my idea…but then I was SO STOKED to see this come to life!

And yesterday, I’m proud to say, I was one of the very first people to enter the doors of the Museum of Broadway on its opening day.

It was everything I dreamed of and more. The glitz, the glamor, oh my!

You start by being transported back to the 1800s, where the roots of Broadway start, and learn how the “Great White Way” came to be. Then you’re taken on a journey through the decades and eras of Broadway, starting with Vaudeville, the Golden Age of Broadway, and so on. While passing through each room you begin a new chapter that unfolds an epic historical journey filled with memorabilia and costumes from famous shows of each era.

I could have spent hours consuming all of the detailed and expertly curated information, but even an hour was enough to give me a better understanding of the business we all know and love.

There’s even a section dedicated to Marketing & Press for theater, on a floor dedicated to “behind the scenes” roles in the theater.

I recommend you run, don’t walk, to the Museum of Broadway! It’s history in the making.
