Before I started my first business back in 2015, I was at the mercy of other people’s schedules, underpaid, and my talents were going to waste. I was struggling to pay rent and get my web series off the ground. Even a cup of coffee was an expense I had to really think hard about. 

Since then I’ve started three six-figure businesses and If I had back then what I have now, I would have been able to fund my own dreams without the fear of getting evicted or being fired because of my unpredictable schedule as an actor. 

To say my life changed because of starting a business is an understatement and I want other actors, writers, directors, and entertainment professionals of all types to create this kind of change for themselves as well. 

Having #werked in the theater and entertainment industry for over a decade, I’ve come to learn a thing or two about the types of people who gravitate towards the industry. And there are a few traits we all have in common that make us great entrepreneurs:

• We are a community of kindred spirits who love to hustle, werk hard, and take risks
• We’re never deterred by rejection or setbacks because in entertainment it’s just part of the job
• We have the uncanny ability to turn trash into treasure and out budgeting skills are honed from a lifestyle of scrimping and saving

All of these attributes are key to being a successful entrepreneur!
