Business Advice From My Toddler

No, my almost 3 year old is not a business genius, lol. 

But, as he grows and learns to navigate himself in the world, there are a ton of lessons to learn from his development. 

Here are just a few things I’ve gleaned:

1. Simplicity is key: Toddlers don't overcomplicate things, they focus on the essentials. Keep your goals, strategies and systems simple and focused. Overcomplicating things in business can be the kiss of death!
2. Embrace failure: Toddlers aren't afraid to fail because they understand it's a part of learning. In business, embracing failure means being willing to take risks, learn from mistakes and try again.
3. Play and have fun: Toddlers approach life with a sense of play and joy, and this can be applied to work as well. Encourage creativity and play in your work environment, it can lead to innovative thinking and increased productivity.
4. Stay curious: Toddlers are naturally curious and always asking questions. Always seek knowledge and be open to new ideas and perspectives.
5. Be authentic and genuine: Toddlers don't try to be anyone other than themselves, and the same should be true for business. Be true to yourself, your values and your brand, and your customers will respond positively.
6. Don’t take NO for an answer: Toddlers are really good at one thing…getting what they want. They don’t take “no” for an answer. It’s a challenge and they won’t let anything stand in their way. When you hear a no, find the opportunity in it and never give up!
7. Practice gratitude: While toddlers are often ungrateful, throwing tantrums for no reason even when you give them exactly what they said they wanted…the moments of gratitude are worth their weight in gold. When my son says “Thank you Mama,” it melts my heart! Having a daily gratitude practice can increase success and happiness, and many top Entrepreneurs say this is an essential part of their morning routines.

By applying these simple, yet powerful lessons from toddlers to your business, you'll be well on your way to achieving success. Remember, sometimes the simplest solutions can be the most impactful!
